Spent some of my Ikea gift card from my students today...new pillows, dishes, door mats, and supper (frozen meatballs, potatoes, gravy, and lingonberry sauce) and cinnamon buns for tomorrow's breakfast.

Kezia drove herself to work this morning. The people she babysits for offered her the use of a van that they aren't using to get to and from work. She drove it home on Monday (they've been giving her a ride home and I've been driving her there each day) and today was the first day that I didn't have to drive her there.

Family tradition: watching Amazing Race together. It's not often we watch it on the night that it airs because we usually have to wait until everyone is available to watch it from the PVR but tonight everyone was home.

This evening the Junior High youth from our church had their last event before they begin Senior High youth in a few weeks. It was a day that didn't look like it was going to cooperate for a pool party but the weather ended up being perfect.

Today was our last schedule mail delivery to our door. There was a single envelope in the mailbox today: a sympathy card for our family from the clinic that put Goliath down signed by the vet staff and had a paw stamp that we like to believe is Goliath's print.

That time Kezia got on the metro in Greenbelt, Maryland and before we all could join her the doors closed and she was off to Washington, DC alone!

Thankfully...she had the idea to get off at the next stop and wait until the next train (with the rest of us on it!) came and then she joined us. It's funny now but it wasn't during the 11 minute wait for the next train to come!
